Southeastern Wisconsin is in the middle of a manufacturing moment, and the IBAW Manufacturing Summit brings together two people with a front-row view of it.
John Miller, Secretary and CEO of the Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation, will open with his assessment of the state's manufacturing economy and where it's headed.
He'll then be joined by the Hon. Samantha Kerkman, Kenosha County Executive, for a moderated conversation on the corridor stretching from the Illinois border through Kenosha and Racine Counties to Milwaukee. That stretch of the state has drawn national attention, most notably Eli Lilly's $4 billion investment in Kenosha County, and the discussion will go beyond the headlines to the numbers and conditions behind the growth: what's fueling it, what could stall it, and where the opportunities are for manufacturers across the region.
