HB Strategies and Wisconsin Managing Principal, Robert Marchant, serves IBAW’s Executive Director and provides Association Management Services (AMS). HB Strategies brings extensive experience in association leadership, advocacy support, operational management, and strategic growth for mission-driven organizations. HBS provides day-to-day executive leadership and comprehensive management services to support IBAW’s mission of advancing the interests of Wisconsin’s independent businesses and employers.

Rob works closely with the Board, members, and stakeholders to advance IBAW’s priorities and strengthen its role as a leading voice for independent businesses in Wisconsin. He is also the point of contact for IBAW members, sponsors and partners.

Rob is a Wisconsinite, born and raised in De Pere. He has spent nearly 30 years working at the intersection of business, law, and government in this state. He has served as a legislative attorney in the Wisconsin Legislature, as a senior executive in state government, and for the last 12+ years building government affairs and consulting firms that work on behalf of businesses and organizations here and across the country. He has spent his career involved with decisions in Madison that affect businesses like IBAW’s members’, helping clients navigate those decisions, shape them, and sometimes stop them entirely.
