Steve Kohlmann Executive Director
Mr. Kohlmann has been contracted through his firm, Kohlmann Management Group, as Executive Director for the IBAW. Steve has been involved with the organization for the past fourteen years where he has served on various committees, as a past president, and now as executive director. As Executive Director he oversees day to day operations of the IBAW including programming, member relations, Governmental relations and connections, event logistics, marketing & communications, website, strategic alliances, outreach, and fundraising. Previously Steve was with Heritage Printing / Cultivate Communications in Brookfield contributing to the development of campaign strategies, determining project timelines, managing the production process and planning for significant initiatives including interactive and direct marketing, consumer and business-to-business advertising campaigns. His experience covers a wide range of sectors including manufacturing, technology, medical, nonprofit and service industries. Prior to Heritage, he oversaw sales & marketing for a mid-sized printing/manufacturing firm in Milwaukee. Steve has been a featured speaker at the Milwaukee Biz Times Expo on Marketing & Communications and has sat as a member of the Business Advisory Council for Special Needs Adoption and United Cerebral Palsy Association of Southeastern Wisconsin. Steve is a board member and board president of The Wisconsin Club. He chaired the Club's House Committee as well as the Club's Membership Committee. Steve is active in his community of the Town of Brookfield where he is a Town Supervisor. He also sits on the Tax Assessment Board of Review, and is on the board of the Community Development Authority (CDA) which oversees the $300 million retail development in Waukesha County known as “The Corners of Brookfield” as well as the new $130 million Poplar Creek Town Center by Wimmer Properties. Steve is a member of the Town's Architectural Control Board and Personnel Committee.
