Wisconsin has long been known as 'America's Dairyland' producing milk, cheese and agriculture products that is sold nationally and globally. While it's easy for us to stop at the local gas station to pick up a gallon of milk, do we understand what it takes to get that gallon from cow to fridge? What pressures do farmers face? Is the family farm still a viable model in today's economy?

Our speaker is Shelly Mayer, Executive Director for the Professional Dairy Producers of Wisconsin. Ms.Mayer will discuss Wisconsin's rich farming past, the challenges farming is facing, and where its future is heading utilizing high tech. Don't miss this presentation on an industry that is so vital to the Wisconsin economy but is often not fully understood.
